"Making a Difference"

You have been placed into groups and your task is to identify a problem in our school, community, county, state, nation or in the world. Once you identify the problem, your job is to convince your audience that this problem needs to be corrected AND you will also present SOLUTIONS!

  1. Groups meet~ brainstorm.
  2. Decide on the group problem~ submit to teacher
  3. Identify who would be affected by the problem; who would have a "vested" interest in your topic
  4. Create survey questions to poll staff, students and community to get data.
  5. Get people to take your survey so you have much needed data
  6. Take data and incorporate it into your presentation
  7. Create a presentation to share with class, teacher and panel of judges
  8. Identify key people that you could interview to provide insight into your problem, and/or that would provide a possible solution
  9. Video the interview to embed into your presentation
  10. Groups will have to collaborate on the presentation; each group member will have to "present" his/her slides, share information and write a speech delivering their information.
